Today we’d like to introduce you to Audria Brissett.

Hi Audria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Audria Brissett Licensed Massage Therapist owner of Inspirational Massage LLC in Wesley Chapel, FL.

Immigrated from Jamaica at the age of 7.

I grew up loving writing poems, drawing, painting and sculpting. My hands were always doing something creative. I was a happy and quiet child who wanted happiness for all. At sixteen, I had to do open-heart surgery. It made me stronger. I felt like nothing could stop me, limit me, bring me down—everything I did. I tried my absolute best. After I moved to Florida, one of my jobs was working for a Senior Home Healthcare company. I loved taking care of others that needed me. My mother is a hospice RN and I was inspired by her by changing the world one person at a time, inspiring them to take charge of their body, their pain, their stress. One must always remember to take a moment to breathe, to catch up with life and experience it in the moment to remember that you are alive. “There was an unspoken feeling that knocked at my door, a calling in my soul saying come to me”.

 I was in it to win it. I loved learning about the human body.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing great comes with no obstacles or challenges. So yes, there have been a few of those but not many. I still consider myself incredibly lucky. I started out on Groupon and I was pretty much super busy. But I was still new, and I did not want to be on Groupon forever because I knew my value was so much greater. Into the New Year I got off Groupon and I was surprisingly still doing well. Then COVID-19 hit, and everything stopped. What if after all this I will fail, what if I am not good enough. I am just a small business owner. Do I even know what I am doing…? So, all those thoughts of course, came to my mind, but I knew that it was just fear and fear was not welcome onto the path that I wanted to go, so I prayed it away with faith. As soon I was able to reopen, my wonderful clients were excited and ready. I was fully booked three weeks out fast!!! They inspire me each and every day. I keep hearing I need you to rise. I need you to keep your head up high. I remembered asking for what I have today, knowing and accepting the bad that would come with the good that created the change in me.

I would love to own a Wellness Villa and Spa someday with my family. Dreams do come true, occasionally, lol.
